MAH Vaccine Protocol

At McDonough Animal Hospital, we believe in tailoring vaccines to both a puppy's breed, weight and age. See below for a chart showing basic vaccine recommendations by puppy age. On other pages in this section, you will be able to see what each vaccine protects against, and why it's important for your pet!

Rabies

  • Rabies vaccine is given once per year

  • 12 weeks (minimum age)

DHPP

Distemper combo vaccines are given at a minimum of 6 weeks of age, every 3 weeks, for up to 4 visits.

  • 6 weeks (minimum age)

  • 9 weeks

  • 12 weeks

  • 15 weeks


Bordetella

  • Our Bordetella vaccine is labeled for yearly vaccination, both orally and injectable

  • 9 weeks (minimum age)

Canine Influenza

  • A set of two initial injections, 3 weeks apart. Yearly thereafter.

  • 15 weeks (minimum age)
